Now that the website is all fresh and pretty, I have some catching up to do to let you know what’s been going on.
What I’m most excited to share is that I’ve had a few amazing teaching opportunities lately.
One such highlight was popping in via Skype to talk to a graduate communications seminar at University of Nebraska, Omaha. They were kind enough to let me drone on about social media monitoring, the challenges of content overload, what’s coming next (or what I think is coming next, I should say), and more. Super fun. And the nice thing about a Skype class is that I got to wear my Ugg slippers. Don’t tell.
The following week, I did a seminar for the Brandwatch Masterclass. My topic was social media monitoring and listening across the enterprise and I talked about social listening for ideation, monitoring for engagement and reporting, using channels as a searchable database for customer service responses, and a lot more interesting ways to make a great tool work for you in so many ways.
And, as chance would have it, I was asked to teach at a professional class at NYU, Marketing Analytics, the following day. I went on and on – for 2 hours – because this is my favorite subject. I fascinated the students with case studies and tools and some alternative ways to think about measuring success. Good times.

Note: I filed this under News. Since it happened weeks ago, that might be a misnomer. Don’t judge.
